Starrett T216XRL-3, 2-3" Digital Outside Micrometer

DESCRIPTION

Digital micrometers make readings faster and easier. Thousandths of an inch are read directly from a counter. Ten-thousandths of an inch are taken from a quick-reading vernier scale on the micrometer sleeve. The frame-mounted counter saves considerable handling time since its numbers can be read without removing fingers from thimble or micrometer from hand. Available with ratchet stop or friction thimble to assure repeat accuracy of readings and with lock nut to secure the spindle at any reading. Micro-lapped anvil and spindle faces. Carbide measuring faces. Hardened threads ground from the solid and stabilized. Balanced design throughout with rugged one-piece frame of drop-forged steel to assure stability. Micrometers have no-glare black finish frame with satin chrome finish on thimble and sleeve. Case must be ordered separately. 0001" is read from the vernier scale on the micrometer sleeve.
